In India’s beautiful state of Kerala, October saw the much-loved elephant parades return after a long break. These parades feature elephants decked out in colorful silk and golden ornaments, marching majestically through the streets to traditional drum beats. It’s a fantastic piece of news for kids who love animals and want to experience India’s vibrant traditions. I sneaked in for a closer look (don’t worry, I didn’t spook the elephants!) and loved how everyone celebrated nature with so much joy and respect.

I joined the parade on my tiny fox-sized bike—okay, I rode in the basket, but it still counts, right?
